The future hasn’t asked for your help yet
Do not let the future trouble you. You will meet it, if you have to, with the same weapons of Reason you use today.
Your mind loves to fast-forward.
What if this goes wrong? What if that happens? What if I can’t handle it?
Stoics call this wasted effort. You’re rehearsing problems that may never show up, and if they do, future-you will handle them with better information anyway.
Stay in today. That’s where your leverage is.
The future doesn’t need your panic.
Try this today: When you catch yourself worrying about the future, ask: “Is this happening today?” If not, say so out loud. “It’s not!” Then, drop it.
Stay hungry. Stay wise. Eat brekkie.
